Why so high ram usage? please tell

Hey guys please tell me why cyberpanel using so much ram. I am currently on cloudways managed hosting with digitalocean server (1GB ram) still it only uses around 300 MB ram. Recently I installed cyberpanel completely fresh without domain or files still 50% ram is used, why ? I was not expecting such poor performance from cyberpanel. I am using cyberpanel with openlitespeed.

  • Have you actually checked it is being used?

What do you mean by "actually checked" ? I just looked at resources section where it shows 50% ram usage
  • Well according to your FB post its 298mb which is not 50% so which is it?

  • Look at what you are using. Did you setup cyberpanel with full install so postfix, dovecot, ftp, dns?

Cyberpanel itself is lightweight uses very little in the way of resources what you need to consider is that for 1GB you have

    openlitespeed - webserver
    mariadb - database server
    pdns - dns server
    ftp - ftp server
postfix & dovecot - mail server

That excludes system resources, cron processes.

If you take all that in mind 298mb of ram use is quite small. My chrome tabs use more ram than that!!

I'm saying that my current cloudways monitoring telling me I am only using 298 MB ram right now. But after using cyberpanel with DO it is saying my current ram usage is 50%. I mean my whole site is still hosted on cloudways. My cyberpanel is completely fresh i've not migrated any of my site yet still the ram usage is 50%. I'm wondering what would happen if I actually migrate, it will definitely cross 90% ram usage.
  • As I said. Check the actual usage by command line.
