    However, have made several attempts using efi and standard bios on ESXI 6.7 vps to no avail.
    I did have success on CentOS 7 / Cyberpanel 1.9 but I wanted to wait for CentOS 8/Cyberpanel 2

    Definitely a problem with the OS or something your provider has supplied. I just did a clean install Centos 8 without any issue at all.
